If the guy had ONLY physically assaulted her, a lot of people would say she was justified in retaliating. But because it was also sexual assault, suddenly it's not okay and she overreacted. But if a guy decks someone for grabbing his girlfriend's butt, how many people would say he deserved it? Guys grope because they expect to get away with it consequence-free. If they were afraid of negative consequences, it would stop. Technically, a grandmother pinching your cheeks is assault. Should you beat the shit out of your grandma? A woman once grabbed my ass probably because she expected to get away with it. Should I have beat her up?
