When you're having sex, you're bound to eventually make contact with another persons fluids (sweat, vaginal fluids, etc). A mere condom is not a fool proof method of preventing the transmission of any kind of STD anyways. The chance of catching HIV from protected vaginal sex is so vanishingly rare it's almost negligible.
