If that's true, you have something else going on with your history. Major banks will give out secured cards if you have no credit history. Banks tell me that's only true if you've been with them for a long time. This is an ongoing issue. I moved to Canada about 2 years ago and built up SOME credit here, but no one will give me a personal credit card for some reason.
