Perhaps, but you'd be surprised at how common myths or general ignorance about health or medicine topics is, even amongst educated people. Medicine is a complex interplay between dozens of scientific disciplines including anatomy, physiology, histology, biochemistry, genetics, immunology, pharmacology, pathology, etc, etc. Without a background in all of these, the chances of someone interpreting medical data correctly is basically zero. But for some reason, a few popular science articles, or a 5 minute google search is all someone needs to be way more confident than they have any right to be about any of these topics. --- "He has two neurons held together by a spirochete." ...
