I love how impervious conservative dogmatism is to facts. Like, say, the fact that seven of the 10 states with the highest household median income are democratic strongholds (Maryland, New Jersey, Hawaii, Conneticut, Massachusetts, California, and Minnesota) versus only one for Republicans - Alaska, helped in no small part by its significant natural resources (the other two states - Virginia and New Hampshire - aren't strongly affiliated with either party).

But each and every one of those states have an extremely high cost of living, especially compared to the rest of the country.
