I love how impervious conservative dogmatism is to facts. Like, say, the fact that seven of the ten states with the highest household median income are democratic strongholds (Maryland, New Jersey, Hawaii, Conneticut, Massachusetts, California, and Minnesota) versus only one for Republicans - Alaska, helped in no small part by its significant natural resources (the other two states - Virginia and New Hampshire - aren't strongly affiliated with either party).

Or the fact that nine of the ten poorest states are Republican dominated (Mississippi, Arkansas, West Virginia, Alabama, Kentucky, Louisiana, Tennessee, South Carolina, and Oklahoma), versus one (New Mexico) for the Democrats. Special mention to Oklahoma, which is in full-on fiscal crisis because years of Republican fiscal planning have left the state unable to pay for basic services to the point where some schools only run four days a week and police have a strict mileage limit because the departments can't afford gas.

Or, y'know, that there are dozens of examples of democracies around the world that are much more left-wing than the US and somehow haven't descended into anarchy.
