His international media coverage glosses over the fact he's abusing his power in parliament to prevent an ethics investigation against him (he committed 4 known violations). Imagine Mueller having hard evidence against Trump, then Trump says "nah," and the GOP just votes away the charges with its majority. I could go on and on, but I won't... I think part of his appeal, mainly in America, comes from his favourable comparisons to Donald Trump. Ultimately, that's a case of choosing to eat your own poo or somebody else's.
