I generally am never interested, but I google each company and the position to see if it's an upgrade, a promotion, a pay increase, or what have you. Generally they would all be lateral moves, but this one turned out to be a straight up promotion at a respectable company, so I took it. Veggeta X posted... How many interviews and how did it go? Two. One in-person with my direct boss, then a phone interview with his boss. Veggeta X posted... How long did it take for them to hire you? The whole process took a stupid long time just because of scheduling conflicts. It's hard to leave your current job to go interview for another one, all while you're supposed to be on the clock. From the day she messaged me to the day I started took about two months (though I officially accepted the offer about two weeks prior, but I put in my two-weeks notice (which they let me do one week because I wanted to have a week off between jobs) and then had that week off). As for anxiety, I wasn't really anxious because I was just going on a whim because a recruiter contacted me. I wasn't exactly job hunting, so if I was told that I didn't get the job, it wouldn't have been the end of the world. --- Not removing this until Pat Benatar is in Super Smash Bros.
