How long did it take for them to hire you? I literally went through hell to get this job. I was out of college for three years and for two of those years could only find a job at Staples retail. I found something close to what I wanted in March of last year. But it was only temporary and only worked for about a month there. Last September, I applied for this job that had qualifications for the field I went to school for. I hadn't heard back from them for a week. So, I sent out a follow-up email (which is something that someone had recently strongly encourage me to do). That same day, they asked me to do a phone interview and they were impressed with my follow-up email. I did the phone interview, and at the end of it, I was told they already wanted me to come in for an in-person interview before the phone interview started. This was the first time where I felt there might be a chance. Went in, did the interview, asked when I would hear back from them. They told me sometime the next week.
