Income tax is like 50% but that's okay because you won't be spending so much on property tax.

How does this benefit poor people that didn't own property to pay tax on to begin with?

because they will have a good job and a free home

Say they work 40 hours a week and make $10 an hour. For one month that's $1600. But with 50% taxation on that good job it's only $800 a month. Now consider that their free home is going to have maintenance costs. Heating/AC will be more expensive than for an apartment. If anything needs to be replaced that's now their responsibility instead of a landlord. The result is they are still poor but with higher living expenses.
