This is rather interesting, given that some websites (including GameSpot) decided PUBG wouldn't be eligible for GotY this year since it was in Early Access on PC for most of the year and only came out of Early Access in December. Pretty much every website that does GotY awards does them in December, so games released on December 1st or later are ineligible for a GotY award in the same year they came out. GameSpot has said PUBG will be considered for the 2018 GotY awards. Since we do GotY in January, PUBG coming out in December isn't a problem. Technically even a game that came out on December 31st would be okay. --- This was not the best year for my bracket. Congrats to BK_Sheikah00 for winning the BYIG Guru Contest! ...
