i think it was a little convenient but i dont think they can just do that all the time. it worked because it was a big ship going into another big ship.

It was a last ditch effort, the problem people have with the scene is if this works, why isn't that just plan A?

They were shown to abandon multiple large ships during the chase because they ran out of fuel first, if you can just destroy what looks like a ship more than 100X the size of the ship you're using to ram with light speed, they should be doing that all the time.

Something I've seen mentioned by some SW fans, fuel running out has never been an issue in Star Wars before TLJ, Luke in Ep 5-6 makes multiple lightspeed jumps in just his X-Wing, and multiple times in the prequels people travel extreme distances in space with small personal craft.
