It's not a remake. Unless there was a George Clooney or Frank Sinatra Oceans film where they robbed a gala in New York with only 8 people.
Let's see:
- Starts off the same as Ocean's 11, with Mr. (Mrs.) Ocean having a parole hearing. - Immediately starts planning a heist with her good friend. - Assembles a rag-tag assortment of individuals with talents that would help with it. - Meeting to discuss the heist.
The only things different here is the location, number of people used, and item of the heist. I said it's not a 1:1 remake, but it's close enough, and even uses the same styling of movie title. George Clooney was married to a 'Mrs. Ocean' in the original remake trilogy, but unless they've only changed the actress, and it's the same character, then it's a remake.
