Only the combat scenes (especially space battles) were good. Episode 7 had the opposite problem. The writing was fairly good but the action was garbage (storm troopers still missed everything (honestly I thought this was just Lucas shit design but its STILL present??), the air combat had one guy kill like 13 enemies in 30 seconds. Ray, completely untrained, defeated Kylo, wtf?).
