I thought at first that Coinbase had to wait a few days to clear with a bank purchase, but they actually lock in your price immediately. For example, I purchased $2k today, locked in the quantity/price with Coinbase, and the money will debit from my account in a few days with no fee. If you have the cash on hand, it is definitely the say to go. Saves a ton in fees and lets you buy more currency. Guys, don't forget that Coinbase isn't the only exchange.
