Topic	Is flat-earth the stupidest conspiracy theory?

I thought that was always a myth, and never taken seriously. But if that's game, I'll raise you the whole Earth being six thousand years old mess. Let's be fair; when Hollow Earth was a theory, people had barely dug into the Earth and didn't even know about tectonic plates. There was no scientific evidence for or against it at the time, and no one was claiming that it was a big cover up. In the case of flat Earth, there is independently verifiable evidence and a scientific community willing to back it up (of course, the theorists say it's a conspiracy, but at least in that regard, it's quite dissimilar from Hollow Earth). An ex of mine posted articles about hollow earth not more than 5 years ago.
