But why would you recommend that as a show with LESS GRIM? Probably because if I remember right S1 ended with everybody alive. Admittedly it's been a while since I watched it, but I don't recall it being as in your face with the death and grim as Madoka. It had was more fun SoL type stuff at least Spoilers for the current season. ~~Prequel was dark as fuck, and the sequel is currently going all out on the depressing factor.
