The right obviously is way too willing to protect and even celebrate scumbags. But the left also has a problem where they bend like a wet noodle over the most trivial, meaningless bull shit.

So, you've never heard of Bill Clinton, Ted Kennedy, Anthony Weiner, Al Franken, John Conyers, Harvey Weinstein, Roman Polanski, Woody Allan...

To be fair, Al Franken did finally resign (unless he's taking back his resignation after being inspired by MSNBC's example) and Weinstein isn't being protected any more (and technically Weiner isn't really protected any more either, although the fact he was continually shielded by the left facilitated the worst of his behavior).

What would Al Franken be inspired by? Taking a step back would pretty much remove all moral superiority democrats currently wield over republicans.
