Mark Waid's writing hasn't aged as well as I would have hoped, but it's such a nice story that weaves itself so seemlessly into Flash history. I almost forgot that one of Waid's most important recurring characters makes his return here - Max Mercury. Overall, it's definitely the story that puts Wally over top Barry in every way.
