The weirdest thing to me is the grunts. They aren't terrible, but aren't at all necessary either. And they sound kind of... too manly? Isn't Mega Man supposed to be a boy? Not that I want boyish grunts either.

This is why I like the 8-bit style. I've secretly always hated the idea of Mega Man being a little boy, and his sprite in the 8-bit games is vague enough I can pretend he isn't. The more realistically they try to portray him, the worse it tends to be IMO
