Robazoid 11/30/17 11:38:13 AM #65:	I've now watched the prequel + 5 episodes of The Ancient Magus' Bride and I think I'm going to stop there. I hate how Chise has exactly two settings (dull acceptance or generic sadness) despite interacting with a fantastical world. There's also no moral ambiguity here, not even in aspects where there really should be. Elias is a 100% good guy because he's nice to Chise, never mind the fact that he bought her at a slave auction and outright admitted she has no choice but to go along with what he wants. There was so much they could've done with this premise but instead they didn't do anything. They introduced 100% evil sorcerers, though! I'm still new to anime but finding both this and Red Data Girl to be so exceedingly mediocre makes me wonder if I'm just not cut out for fantasy anime.
