power rankings time! I feel like the first 4-5 games almost don't count this year due to the early start so I'm gonna include their last 10.

1 - Golden State (9-1) - by a mile

2 - Houston (8-2) - Harden's playing great and Capela might be the best center in the league right now. there's this fantastic two-man clip of Paul and Capela from a couple games ago that was thrilling. I hope we see more of that.

3 - Boston (10-0) - playing fantastic D. I'm all in on Horford > Kyrie so far this year.

4 - Cleveland (7-3) - yeah, 7-3! they definitely have some problems but they're really working the teams that matter. no one cares if they struggled to beat the Knicks in May.

5 - Toronto (7-3) - they're quietly playing great basketball. Derozan is quietly remaking his game, shooting more 3s and averaging nearly 5 assists a game. what a weird player.

6 - Philadelphia (7-3) - speaking of weird - Ben Simmons! I would not want to play this team in the playoffs because they have two crazy players that no one has ever seen before.

7 - OKC (5-5) - I'm still on this train regardless of the struggles. George has been playing well and Russ should have another triple double tonight. they'll be okay

8 - San Antonio (6-4) - what is going on with Kawhi? are they just putting him on the shelf until midseason for fun? they're probably fine with that as long as they stay out of the 7 or 8 seed.

9 - Portland (5-5) - kinda average lately, but they never lose by more than a handful of points. I think they've been in about every game they've lost.

10 - Denver (6-4) - okay, I'm back on this train after a rocky start. Jokic is really good. I feel like I haven't heard the name "Paul Millsap" since the offseason though.

11 - Washington (6-4) - they've had the softest schedule but it's not their fault. Beal and Porter are playing well. Wall is.. okay. should be better.

12 - Memphis (3-7) - it's a quiet 3-7! they had a rough road trip against a lot of good teams. I'm not too worried.

13 - Detroit (6-4) - after tonight's blowout loss, their point differential is down to +1.9, they've been better than expected but I think they belong around the middle of the pack.

14 - Milwaukee (5-5) - I dunno about these guys. after a wild first week, Giannis has been kinda human lately. Bledsoe is here but I don't know if he's adding a whole lot. they seem really average.

15 - New Orleans (5-5) - tough team to gauge. you could say Davis and Cousins are both top 10 players right now and yet those guards.

16 - Indiana (5-5) - they keep winning why

17 - Minnesota (6-4) - they had a couple good wins this week, but every time I start to believe, they lose by 20 to Charlotte or something.

18 - Orlando (3-7) - came back to earth after a torrid start. this is probably about where they belong. hopefully that hot start doesn't ruin their confidence.

19 - New York (6-4) - KRISTAPS i have nothing else here and won't all season

20 - Charlotte (4-6) - I like this team but can't justify it yet.

21 - LA Clippers (1-9) - man. I want so badly to pin this on injuries. but if you're relying that heavily on Gallo and Bev, how good are you?

22 - Miami (5-5)
23 - Utah (2-8)
24 - Brooklyn (3-7)
25 - Phoenix (3-7) - whatever

26 - LA Lakers (4-6) - I love the Lonzo Ball spiral. make fun of him relentlessly for a week, lay low when he gets a triple double vs. a bad team and then repeat.

27 - Atlanta (2-8) - COLLINS

28 - Chicago (2-8) - MARKKANEN

29 - Dallas (2-8) - SMITH

30 - Sacrmaneto (3-7) - NOBODY!

MVP

1 - Harden
2 - James
3 - Curry
4 - Brad Stevens
5 - Giannis
