You can consider a valid line of work, just not for your kids.
Imagine having a baby daughter, spending every single day playing with her, reading to her, investing a crap ton of time in her so that she's a well put together kid who's an all around joy to be around in school. Imagine her in grade school, where you give her high level math books so that she's well into calculus before she finishes elementary school. Imagine exposing her to different science and tech fields, from architecture to programming to medical engineering, all to give her an appreciation of what people have accomplished and what she could contribute to. Imagine during her 18th birthday, she comes up to you and says "I want to be a porn star". The only thing that will fly into your mind after confirming she's not mentally ill and is dead serious is "WHAT THE FLYING FUCK DID I DO ALL THAT WORK FOR?"
