Galaxy was my first console game and I was like 7 or 8 so yeah nostalgia certainly factors in. But even so I seriously love the mechanics and designs of that game. They pretty much did whatever they want. Cookie galaxies, or riding a manta across huge tracks of suspended water, I still remember a ton of the game.
Also, I was absolutely wowed by BotW despite having familiarity with the older Zelda games, but Odyssey didn't feel like as big of a jump. The cappy possession didn't feel that different from normal power-ups. Dino = Mega Mario, Frog = frog suit...
