My German friends tell me that every German schoolchild is taught comprehensively about this era and its horrors; you can't go through the school system and avoid knowledge of it. For example, school classes visit concentration camps I would also like to point out that it's not just the school system but life in Germany in general where you can't "avoid knowledge" about the Third Reich, I don't know why some people ITT seem to think the topic is rarely brought up or sth --- ...
