"The 8 ounce New York Steak."

"How would you like that prepared?" the waiter asks.

"Medium."

"Will you have the parsnips, squash, peas and shallots with wine-veal jus, or a Kula Wedge Salad?"

"The parsnips and such, please."

The waiter writes all that down and takes his leave. You and Raven move to the fries, dipping them in the mustard-yellow sauce provided.

"Mmm!" she says. "What is this?"

"I believe this is Saffron Aioli," you say. "Saffron is mixed in with mayonnaise, garlic, lemon, salt and pepper, and does go very well with Pommes Frites."

"I'll say," Raven says with a full mouth while dipping more of her fries.

You two eat fries, greens and ribs, washing it down with warm coffee.

"I never really thought of coffee as a dinner beverage, but it's working well here," you say.

"Same for me," Raven says. "I wonder if we could get a bag to bring back to the Tower."

The main courses arrive, you and Raven carefully move aside your plates for finished ribs to make room.

"These look just as good as everything we've seen," you say.

"The chefs will again be happy to hear that," he says. "Steak sauce?"

"No, thank you," you say.

"Butter, salt or pepper for your chicken?" he asks Raven.

"A little bit of pepper," she say.

He takes out a pepper grinder. *rrrk rrk* One full twist over the chicken.

"Yes, that's good," she says.

"Before you go," you say, "we were curious about your coffee blends. Do you offer bags for sale?"

"Yes," the waiter says, "but exclusively online. Our website is the same name as our restaurant, so you should find it easily enough."

Then he looks around at the other customers.

"Though," he says in a hushed tone, "as you are the heroes who saved both a young boy and all of Kailua on the same day, I suppose I could... expedite things."

"I see," you say in a matching tone. "And if it helps, I don't mind paying extra on the... shipping and handling."

"Thank you, sir," he says as you give him a couple dollars. "Let me bring you a coffee menu."

You slips away, you cut into your steak and see the perfectly Medium cooking in the meat. The water returns and slips you a one page, one-sided pamphlet.

"Our bags come in small, medium and large," the waiter continues in the hushed tone. "The large is about the size of the long platter the ribs were served on."
