"Pommes Frites."

"The what?" Raven asks.

"Basically French fries," you whisper.

"Oh," she says. "In that case, an order of Pommes Frites for myself."

"Very good," the manager says. "Those will be out when they're ready, I'll bring you your coffees."

The waiter has the order written down and heads to the kitchen, the manager goes to the barista station and brews up a couple cups just for you two.

"I like how this place looks during dinner time," you say to Raven. "Bright and busy, all these delicious smells in the air, and still warm and welcoming."

"It is really nice," she says.

"Here you are," the manager says as he sets the coffee down. "I will offer free refills for you two, as thank you for helping at the prison."

"You heard about that?" she asks.

"Yeah, it was on TV," he says. "They said a guy with bluish hair was involved but when they mentioned Raven of the Teen Titans, plus seeing you now, it made sense."

"Well, we'll let you know if we need more," you say. "Thank you."

The manager nods and returns to his station. You sip and relax a bit as you wait patiently.

"You weren't that worried about saving Kitten," you say. "If I had said we were going to leave Kitten in Zeus' clutches, would you really have been okay with that?"

"Well..." she lets drag out and trail off. "I probably would've come around to sparing her that awful, tragic experience."

"That's good," you say.

"At the same time," Raven says, "I don't think you would've really ever thought to leave her behind."

"Thank you."

"Don't thank me just yet," she says. "My reasoning is because Kitten was a girl."

"How is that the reasoning? Obviously she was a girl, she kept claiming to be the daughter of villains she has no connections to."

"No, I mean, it's because, despite her horrible personality, she's not physically repulsive."

"Are you implying I stayed to save her because she's cute?"

"You said it, not me."

"Hold on, hold on," you say. "I said she's cute but I didn't say I was attracted to her. She's far too skinny."

"Really? She's not skinner than Jinx, and we both know what happened there."

"Are you sure? I'm pretty sure Kitten is skinnier. But either way, I wouldn't have ignored whoever it was that Zeus was molesting. I would've stopped Zeus no matter what."

"But it didn't hurt that Kitten was cute?"

"Raven, you're completely twisting the scenario. I was simply asking if you were going to leave her given the history between her and the Titans. I was in no way attracted to her, when you are clearly a superior specimen."

Raven smiles somewhat bashfully but also proudly.

"Alright," she says. "I believe you."

The waiter returns and sets down two plates before setting down a large platter of ribs, with a bowl of tossed greens ranging from lettuce to spinach.

"Mmm, these look delicious," you say. "Both the ribs and the collard greens."

"The chef will be glad to hear that," the waiter says. "I'll be back with the frites, but feel free to call me over if there's anything else you might need."

"Thank you," you say before the waiter takes his leave.
