That is still not okay depending on what kind of work you go into.
There are somewhat easy ways to determine not only what email addresses you are using for usernames across the web, and after determining usernames, scouring the web for other instances. I do a lot of online investigation work for some clients and we find all kinds of things that people think they've kept hidden.
Looks like Im fucked then... although it hasnt seemed to be an issue yet. ---
