Prevalence may be higher as diagnostic criteria shifts) The chance of recurrence is about 50% after a major episode passes, but if someone does get another episode, their chances of a third drastically goes way up. When you consider 1 in 5 will experience something like this, the people who are impatient with it is like getting pissed off for someone for catching a cold.
