The basics of most future tech exists now. So that's not a very strong argument that something like replicators that will be detectible in 400 billion star systems, is almost certain. Nor have your explained that these replicators are not here somewhere and that we just haven't been able to detect it.

Again, the only thing certain here is that we don't know. Everything you're saying is based on human behavior and assumptions. Remove those and nothing changes in terms of the viability of life. To say otherwise doesn't make you intelligent. It makes you look stupid.
