It has been a struggle for probably 17 years at this point. Recently with work duties changing I reached my limit. Today I saw the doctor, did some tests. There is a wait to see a psychiatrist and that's going to take a few months to get fit in. The doctor was confident I will get a formal diagnosis that first appointment. Initially, we weren't going to discuss medication until after the diagnosis. Then I got home and got a call from the doctor. She is concerned with the wait time and thinks it will be beneficial to get started with very low dose medication now and see how it goes.

Fingers crossed that this helps. Just waiting to hear from the pharmacy when the script is ready. I will be blown away if I can actually sit down and do my coursework in chunks longer than 10 minutes at a time. Or actually get a load of laundry folded.

Damn you, novelty-seeking brain that does poorly with the daily tedium of modern society.
