Conservatives are generally thought of sexist/mysognistic. So while it's still a criminal and disgusting thing to do, the left often expects it from them.

The left are often portrayed as the paragons of virtue when it comes to their treatment of women. They would never do something so heinous and uncouth as to sexually assault a woman. They're in the streets championing for womens rights and how women shouldn't be treated like meat.

Like conservative politicians make laws that make things shittier for victims more often than liberals do, but that's not the same as conservative people = misogynist rapists or liberals = paragons of virtue.

All people of all political backgrounds are generally opposed to sexual assualt, perhaps save for some real shitbirds

There's no poetic justice in someone being assaulted by a liberal (or in that liberal being busted)

Now if it was someone that was actually actively campaigning and known for being opposed to X thing doing X thing, yeah, hypocrisy exposed. Poetic justice might be them going to jail (lol how likely is that)

But being conservative doesn't mean you condone sexual assault, nor does being liberal mean you condemn it.
