I'm equating them on the basis that someone who has had those experiences to form whatever narrow belief is as justified as a woman who had enough experiences to think men are trash, by your logic.

The point is that while not all men act this way, all women deal with men acting this way. We're not talking about an unfair prejudice but a real thing that all women deal with constantly in their lives.

Again, this is not about women thinking men are trash. This is about women talking about trash behaviour that is considered acceptable by men.

I imagine it's pretty frustrating for a lot of women when the only time some guys take sexist behaviour seriously is when they feel personally affronted by it, like in this topic.

Then they should attack the behavior, not the gender
