Edit: was dumb and read things wrong again.

So in all likelihood, the '9ers don't pick in the top 10, and give up two consecutive 1st rounders for Andre Johnson who is 32 (I don't have a great grasp on when he's likely to retire, but he's probably good for a few years left?) while they still have a pretty average-looking defense.

If Big Ben goes down or something, they have an insurance policy for whatever year that happens if they pick in the top 10, but it still works out pretty well for KCF regardless.

Don't think I have an issue with it... but that's a lot to give up/risk for a guy when the '9ers look like they're more than one piece away (haven't been around long enough to know though if any team's won it all with just a great offense), and their acquisition will probably retire without a championship.
