He's wrong anyway though. The intended meaning of my sentence, in which I did use both words correctly, was "He finds a way to make even the most ordinary conversations tiresome."

Mundane typically carries a more negative connotation to it, though. Most people use it to mean dull, as with tedious. This is an ordinary person doesnt sound insulting whereas This is a mundane person does.

Your word choice was at the very least awkward.

And Ill never understand people who whine about being tagged. I dont mind when it happens to me because I might forget to check back in and would otherwise miss the post directed at me. Only time itd be senseless is if I were the TC since any new posts would give me a notification.
