Like a whole year before he even got tagged for the VP position, several news stations were exposing incompetence in his governance of Indiana, such that political news junkies were already cracking memes. Just google the needle exchange program and how Pence's opposition to it actually caused a major uptick in HIV infections in the state. It's a classic example of feelings over facts where Pence's policy-making priorities are concerned. That whole staged walkout with that football game is hilarious because it demonstrates how petty he is, how little he knows about how media coverage work, how little he knows about medium he's using to make his point, and how little he thinks of his audience, because he honestly thought he could post a two-year old photo and people wouldn't notice. He can't help but fuck-up, because politically, that's all he ever was. None of the tea-party adjacent candidates were shit. All they do is grandstanding political theater. Set anyone of them in front of a mic for ten minutes and they'd lay it out for you exactly just how unqualified they were. Then conservative ethos is willing to give men who 'misspeak' a second chance, whilst the party's Bachman are immediately crucified and discarded with the whole GOP feeling reassured about their opinions about women in government. Fuck, that is a tangent. Back to Pence.
