honestly no

i think clinton tried and failed to play up that angle. steinem gave a public speech in which she went on about a 'special place in hell for women who dont help other women' and it was received like the giant turd that it was

i think the main thing is the perception of black voters that clinton was a general in their fight for civil rights with strong ties to all of their leaders, whereas sanders was a foot soldier whose impact was unknown (because he didn't have the power to make an impact at the time) and whose background was a mostly white community in vermont

she did especially well among black female voters, so i perhaps am underestimating the woman effect, but young women of all races preferred sanders by a lot
