I think moreover any sensible person would be able to see that this is just a way that people make themselves feel better about themselves.
You can pretend like you are helping them and society by shaming them, but it's really not an effective way to encourage behavioral change in the first place, so that excuse is just bullshit.
We get it, you may be a failure in all other aspects of your life, but at least you're not a fatty. That makes you feel better. But perhaps you should find more constructive forms of cognitive reappraisal.
What if we're successful in almost all aspects of life and still make fun of fat people?
