Topic	How did anybody figure out how to beat Star Ocean 2?

Earthquake is one-hit wiping me (actually, it leaves two characters in the 1000's of HP for him to follow up with a tap to each for the win), the stupid purple wave move is instakilling anyone that doesn't block it (why do so many attacks in this game deal 700 hits at once?), and the explosion move wiped my party but in fairness two characters were low HP so maybe they would have survived it. Are you somehow on the Galaxy or Universe difficulty? No idea.
