i remember all extra-curricular activities being cancelled. Our school's football tam had a short 10 - 15 minute practice, in which our coach told us "go home, be with your family, enjoy every moment you have together"

i was still dumb as fuck and didn't understand the significance, but looking back on it, that was a very straight-to-the-point speech that we needed at the time
