This topic brought to you by heated gaming moments. They're back.

This week!
Divinity: Original Sin 2: this is the follow-up to arguably the most successful gaming Kickstarter to date. The first D:OS featured a quirky sense of humour paired with a tactical RPG battle system on well-designed maps that you could fully interact with. You could do this solo, or with a friend. In this game, you can do it with three other friends. That seems to be the design ethos behind Original Sin 2 - take what worked in the last game, but do it bigger. Minimal voice acting has been replaced by full voice acting. Synthesized music has been replaced by a full orchestra, including a rendition of a classic Divinity track by the former, late series composer. Co-op gaming has been enhanced with two more people, and the ability for one (or more) of the players to work against the party interests. A comprehensive Dungeon Master mode has been enabled, allowing you to use the game for your tabletop sessions. An improved story with sections written by Chris Avellone. Original Sin 2 is going all-out.
Ys VIII: Japan's premier action RPG series finally hits consoles, but over the last few games the series focus has shifted from its pulse-racing roots to include a story and wider cast of characters. Listen, Falcom, not everything needs to be Trails. Just most things.
Dishonoured: Death of the Outsider Death of the Outsider sees the return of the lead characters from the first Dishonoured DLC, ready to take on the enigmatic Outsider, a character who has never been fully established but still commanded attention whenever he appeared. Each game from Arkane's Lyon studios has been progressively better from the last, from Arx Fatalis right up until Dishonoured 2. It's been a good run for big budget vent-crawlers as of late - could this be the genres last hurrah on the big stage?
Metroid: Samus Returns: Hi. We have a new Metroid game. A new 2D Metroid game. From Nintendo. I mean, what? Whoever thought this would happen again? Sure, the Metroidvania genre has moved on, with seemingly exponentially more Metroidvania games releasing each year, but this is the genre's namesake that many people long-feared dead. While Samus hasn't been seen since the disastrous Metroid: Other M 7 years ago, the Metroid series did appear on 3DS last year... and it didn't fare much better. This one though! It should be good!
Cook, Serve, Delicious! 2!!: if you want to know what this is, watch the GiantBomb Quick Look of the first game and watch Ryan Davis fall in love with a brilliantly designed cooking game.

Next week!
Marvel vs. Capcom: Infinite: The road to MvC:I hasn't been as smooth as Capcom would like. Which is kind of the default state for Capcom at the moment, isn't it? I'll be honest, I haven't kept up with this one, but I'd like for it to be good, if only for entertaining FGC streams.
SteamWorld Dig 2: You probably own the first game and don't even realize it. You should rectify that. SteamWorld Dig is a perfect bite-sized game, able to satisfy in 15 minute chunks while making tangible progress. It's kind of like Metroid, kind of not, kind of like Terraria, kind of not, but absolutely neat.

This month!
Danganronpa V3: I am all about this game. I haven't played past 2. I didn't even like 1. But to finish the arc of the first game in another medium, and then launch another game with the 3 moniker takes some confidence. Good on Spike Chunsoft.
Cuphead: We all know what this is. Time to see if the wait was worth it.
Forza Motorsport 7: Cars in 4k for the first time. I'm a sucker for these games, but I think this will be one I sit out on for the first time in ages. Too many games, man.

Next month we'll be possession dinosaurs and shooting milkshake Nazis, so clear your plate before then.
