Topic	Would you trade a better future for a forgotten past?

There's also the argument that if a person is the sum of their memories, then the "you" that you currently are wouldn't be enjoying that better life anyway, since it would effectively be like "you" were dead and someone else walking around in your body would be having the awesome life. Even with a great past you can't live through it again no matter how good your memory is. So what if I'm essentially a different person? My life will be better and I'll be experiencing it. I don't see how they could possibly cancel out. We're not 4 dimensional beings that can see past, present and future all at once.
