So many people saying, "no I didn't vote," blows my mind. I mean, I get it. I don't believe my vote matters either. No matter who wins they will get paid off by the mega corporations to make sure they keep getting whatever they want while the things the majority of every day citizens want (or deserve) will keep getting left by the wayside.

I really do get how so many can feel like their vote doesn't mean anything and no matter who wins it won't change their life in any meaningful way, but damn. Not even participating just seems a little extreme to me. Maybe I'm just clinging to the last vestiges of democracy unrealistically, but I just couldn't not vote. It seems like giving up and admitting we are living in a dystopian capitalist oligarchy. idk
