89. The Hentai Prince and the Stony Cat
https://myanimelist.net/anime/15225/Hentai_Ouji_to_Warawanai_Neko

Youto (the hentai prince) wants to let the world know his feelings without inhibitions. However, he can't bring himself to show the world his true self. This is until he makes a wish on the stony cat that he will always be honest. His wish is granted, but in a way he doesn't expect. The part of him he didn't want, was transferred to someone else. Now, realizing that sometimes being honest all the time is not that good, he seeks to find who the other person is.

At the same time Tsukiko (despite the title, she's not the stony cat. Although, I guess technically it does work both ways. I see what you did there anime.) Lost her emotions because of the actual cat she lost her emotions. Honestly, his lack of emotions really works to her benefit in this anime. There are not a whole lot of romcoms where I'd say that moe is a huge factor, but it is here, and she's a big part of it. They decide to help each other to find their missing parts. The cast overall is probably the strongest part. There are more characters that have nearly as much importance, but I can't really talk too much of them and keep this spoiler free.

The show is bright and cute. The story is not always the strongest, and it does get kind of strange is places when the cat starts to grant some more wishes, but I'd say it's a show that's above average on most fronts. However, there is the annoyance on how prevalent the cat is at times. It's like the main plot device and pretty much among the only one the show uses. I mean I guess that can be fine, but it can get kind of dumb in the end.

Unless you absolutely hate fan service or moe, this is a show I think most people can enjoy.

88. Scorching Ping Pong Girls
https://myanimelist.net/anime/33031/Shakunetsu_no_Takkyuu_Musume

Agari Kamiya is the ping pong clubs ace. Everyone looks up to her. She revels in her position of power. However, when a new transfer, Koyori, joins the club and happens to be a good player, Agari feels threatened. It's an anime about burning ping pong passion.

The anime doesn't really have a story. Basically it goes through a few arcs like Agari being a jerk arc, training, and the tournament, etc. The main downfall is that the show pretty much ends on a very incomplete note or this might have been much higher up the list as it's very enjoyable overall imo.

I kind of wants to say the actual ping pong matches are compelling, and they are... kinda. But it's really more because of the girls and their quirks that make it fun to watch. Like you're not going to really get invested in the matches like some other sports anime that are going to appear later on, but it's still just fun to watch. None of the characters are even that special, but they play their roles very well. I suppose a very similar anime would be like softenni (which I consider to be a slightly better show). Like each character has a type of "ping pong super power" or special move that they are good at. I guess it's like Kuruko in that case but Kuruko takes itself way too seriously as an anime. Ping Pong girls just wants to have fun.

This is something that does well because of execution. Doesn't really try to be something its not and what it tries to do is be a cute ping pong show that focuses on its strengths (like moeness) rather than fast action due to the limits in its animation budget.

Kind of a more niche title, but highly enjoyable to the right audience.
