| Romulox28 08/31/17 4:36:49 PM #10: | drama/comedy starts off as a typical adult comedy cartoon, but around the 5th or 6th episode of the first season there is a big tonal shift where things become darker and more dramatic and it stays that way for the whole series. Comedy-wise it's fairly grounded and not too zany, although there are zany elements and characters, and it switches between funny moments and more emotional ones. Think of like an adult version of Arrested Development in terms of how it handles little details and continuity. Honestly you'd think this wouldn't work on a show about talking animals but it does. Great show IMO. Very clever, very nuanced comedy and it's probably the best depiction of depression I've ever seen in any form of media.
