| KokoroAkechi 08/29/17 3:34:50 AM #81: | I saw it last night too and thought it was... okay. I don't know. I mean Willem Dafoe was great in the role. I get the movie wants to make it so you see Light as the "good guy" who is trying to make everything okay again, but it doesn't build upon that premise well enough to really make it work. Like I think it does do a decent job at showing that he wants to do what's right and that he has concerns about the power of the book and lives he doesn't want to take... but at the same time they don't really give L an equal standing ground.
