Well sometimes trying is as good as not trying when what you're doing is literally statistically impossible.

The whole point is that it's literally pointless whether they try or not. If everyone went out and voted their votes would still just be thrown in the trash as rounding errors.

I for one am lucky enough to live in a swing state, so I vote. If you lived in Alabama and you voted, you might as well just call it "protest for your lack of a vote". In a way I can respect that, but it's still not a vote.

People who use their vote in Alabama to protest also lose the opportunity to register as a Republican and make a difference in candidate elections.
