If you can't inconvenience yourself a little to make your dog safe and comfortable you shouldn't have a dog. I didn't live with my own dog for almost two years because I couldn't provide the proper environment for him. I didn't get him back from my parents until I could. Dog ownership isn't about you. It's about your dog.
