If both sides were violent, both sides were the problem. Should the rally have been allowed if Nazi, White Supremacists were involved. NOPE. Should counter protestors have been allowed to converge on the site as close as they were? NOPE. It is a huge failure of enforcement. But neither condones violence on either side. Do I see why people would want to protest against White Supremacists? Absolutely. They are filth. Does that make you able to be violent in regard to them? NOPE. If you want to punch a Nazi, then sure go for it. But, you accept the consequence of it which is an assault charge. You condemn them. You arrest them when they are wrong.
