I guess he's been in that niche of shows that aren't exactly ratings giants but find a place to stay on the air for a while, and aren't hated but don't garner significant critical acclaim either. Regardless, I can't think of many other (predominantly TV) actors who have a consistent 20-year screen presence... I mean, excluding it being one show like the Simpsons actors ...
